I am an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at LSBU Business School. My research specialism is on employee voice, working conditions and quality of working life. I have extensive experience of teaching a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses in the areas of HRM, Organisational Behaviour and Qualitative Research Methods. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), an Academic Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and a Member of the British Sociological Association (BSA).

My research focus is on developing theoretical and practical approaches to improving work relationships (employee voice/silence) and working life (quality of working life, working conditions) and, subsequently, to use these approaches to better understand these concepts in a variety of economic contexts (e.g. emerging, transition, crisis economies) and organisational settings (e.g. SMEs, project-based organisations). I have published my work in several academic journals in the HRM field, as well as published books, textbooks and book chapters. My work has been presented in a variety of internationally reputed academic conferences and events. I am an Associate Board Member of the journal 'Work, Employment and Society' and an Editorial Advisory Board Member of the journal 'Employee Relations'.
