As a registered nurse with expertise in acute respiratory medicine and clinical skills, I have cultivated a multifaceted professional background. My commitment to the advancement of nursing education is exemplified through my tenure as Acting Head of Nursing for Education, where I strategically emphasised leadership and management to align educational strategies with the overarching objectives of the National Health Service (NHS).

Since joining LSBU in 2011 as a Senior Lecturer in the Adult Nursing Department, I have undertaken various substantive roles, including Cohort Leader, Course Director, and Interim Deputy Head of Division. In these capacities, I have consistently demonstrated robust leadership by establishing high standards, leading through exemplary practices, and providing unwavering support to academics at all stages of their careers. Notably, I have played a pivotal role in guiding colleagues across departments to achieve senior fellowships. Additionally, my responsibilities extend to serving as a member of the Appeals Panel and acting as the conciliator for the Adult Nursing Department.

I hold the esteemed position of Senior Fellow at the Higher Education Academy and proudly served as the Lead Link Lecturer for Barts Health. My academic focus centres on pre- and post-registration teaching, with specific expertise in areas such as the care of deteriorating patients, acute and complex care, clinical skills, and biosciences. The culmination of my academic journey includes the completion of a Professional Doctorate in Education, with a research focus on the link between theoretical constructs and practical application in nursing and midwifery students' education.

My scholarly contributions have been disseminated at prominent international conferences, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) International Nursing Conference in China (October 2021) and the SIGMA Nursing International Congress in Edinburgh (July 2022). Furthermore, I presented at the NET Working & Innovation in Healthcare Education Conference in Liverpool in 2023, offering insights into a critical approach to enabling success through learner support, particularly in the context of critical pedagogy in nursing and midwifery students' education.

Continuing my commitment to the nursing profession, I am honoured to enter my fourth consecutive year as a judge for the National Nursing Times Students' Awards in 2024
