I joined LSBU in 2011, I am a Senior Lecturer of Sociology in the School of Law and Social Sciences. I completed my BSc in Sociology and MA in Human Rights at City University London, followed by a PhD in Sociology and Development Studies at London South Bank University.

My research interests are in gender studies, ethnicity, race, poverty, sustainability, social justice, SDGs, education, postcolonial and third world feminism.
