I joined LSBU in 2009, where I am a senior lecturer in pre-registration adult nursing. I worked as an adult nurse for 25 years, in a variety of London hospital trusts, specialising in cardiothoracic high dependency nursing.
I have been the course director for the BSc pre-registration nursing course at the Southwark campus since 2019.
I teach a range of subjects to both pre/ post-registration adult nursing students. My area of expertise is pharmacology and medicines management. I am passionate about both topics: nursing student’s understanding and knowledge of these topics improves patient safety in clinical practice. I have co-authored a book chapter: pharmacology and medicines management for 1st year adult nursing students in 2019.
I have an interest and passion for improving the student experience at LSBU. My role as course director allows me to engage, support and advise students. I was recently voted in the unsung hero category at the LSBU Learning and Teaching Awards 2022.
