Academic staff

I am the Dean of LSBU Business School.

My background is in Accounting and Finance and I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. My extensive professional experience includes accounting and governance roles across the UK and Europe as Financial Director, Operations Director and Company Secretary. I have worked in industries including the Oil and Gas Industry; Lloyds of London Insurance and Telecommunications.

My passion is in supporting others to succeed, thus I moved into Higher Education. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and I hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education(PGCHE).

In addition to my work at the University I am a Company Director, I Chair Southwark Chamber of Commerce; I am a member of the Advisory Committee of the IOEE, and I sit on the Assessment Review Panel of the Institute of Governance. I am on the selection panel for the Southwark Business Awards and I am also a member of the London Local Chambers of Commerce.

I lead on the Business School's relationship with the Chartered Association of Business Schools and have presented and chaired panels at several of their conferences. Via this relationship and the subsequent Small Business Charter accreditation which I lead on. my team now deliver a very successful Help to Grow Programme which is a Business Growth Programme for entrepreneurs and small business owners which is currently in its 8th cohort.

I am also responsible for the development of ASU Bahrain staff training programme, the Institute of Leadership and Management, ACCA and AAT courses delivered at LSBU.
