I have Professional Doctorate in Education and Social Justice and Senior Fellowship in Higher Education Academy. I am Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care at London South Bank University. My special interest is social justice education and research. I designed an education framework on Awareness for Social Justice Action or ASJA, for critical social justice knowledge, awareness, action, and partnership. My clinical background is medical oncology, with special interest in minimally invasive treatments for prostate diseases. My publications on prostate diseases and social justice education can be found at ORCID iD: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3877-7467

My education research interests cover social justice education in areas of actions that address health and education inequalities, visible integration of social justice issues in nursing and education professional organisations documents and programmes; applying critical pedagogies for teaching and learning about equality, equity, diversity and inclusivity in health, education and other sectors; and advancement of human rights, respect and wellbeing for global citizens.

My clinical research interests are in areas of novel treatments for prostate cancer, including use of multi-parametric Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and targeted biopsies for prostate cancer investigations, and minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer, including High Intensity Focused Ultrasound IHIFU) and Cryotherapy.

SAGE Publishing Company United Kingdom

In June 2023, I was approached by the SAGE Publishing Commissioning Editor, Nursing and Health, to write a nursing textbook on social justice. The approach was made after publication of our article on Social justice in nursing education: review of the literature. The article was based on the literature review of my doctoral thesis.

In November 2023, the Commissioning Editor approved my textbook proposal on Social justice in nursing: Awareness and action in practice. It covers three areas, including: introducing social justice, understanding social injustice and doing social justice.

The Commissioning Editor is processing the peer review stage of my book proposal.
