I am a lecturer in Human Resource Management at LSBU Business School. My research interest is related to Cross-Cultural Management. I have extensive experience teaching postgraduate level in the areas of HRM, and Organisational Behaviour. I am a Chartered Fellow CIPD. My role is to hold a strategic position and demonstrates expertise in the key areas of HR to promote and achieve organisation success. I have completed the Cross-Cultural Management program, Tokyo. I completed the Master Class for Global Cross-Cultural Management provided by Prof. Hofstede and the team and an accredited lecturer and trainer in Intercultural Management by Hofstede Insights.

My main research interests are related to Intercultural Management, such as International Business Negotiation, Communication Across Culture, Acculturation, Global teamwork, Cross-Cultural Communication, Global Leadership, Global team, Cultural Competencies. I am working on a research project, “Developing the cross-cultural skills of graduates in response to the needs of the European enterprise.” The project's outcome will be an open-source 'Cross-cultural Competencies and Skills Development Toolkit". There are five Higher Education Institutions have participated in this study: University of Worcester (Project lead- UK), London South Bank University (UK), UC Leuven-Limburg (Belgium), Halmstad University (Sweden), and Bursa Uludağ University (Turkey). I am also a Director of Research & Academic Relations, Society for intercultural educators, trainers, and researchers (SIETAR UK).

CORE COMPETENCIES and ACHIEVEMENTS

• Adeptly taught HR Management at Spinnaker College, encouraging students to understand its importance as an essential means for optimising performance and commitment of an organisation’s employees.

• Demonstrated excellent linguistic skills when presenting to classes with up to 35 students for Junior English with excursions (2008, 2009 & 2012). Additionally tutored a group of long term Asian students for an English language programme during 2012.

• Planned and delivered training that included inductions for new staff. Analysed training needs with departmental managers and sourced relevant training programmes that met quality and budgetary requirements.

• Energetically influenced marketing strategy for Spinnaker College and involved in the project to improve new website. Updated internal and external websites, and prepared text and images for inclusion in website, e-newsletter and printed brochure.

• Responsible for student registration and quality assurance, an Academic committee member who led new curriculum projects for undergraduate course including Tourism Management, International Law, and Nursing.

• Provided a comprehensive HR framework at Spinnaker College, ensuring that HR services achieved strategic business outcomes. Developed and deployed policies, procedures and practices with full adherence to European Employee regulations.

• Assisting management with recruitment and interviews, creating job descriptions as well as advertising material.

• Establishing performance management policies, arranging online and traditional marketing campaigns, and maintaining administrative systems.

• Supporting management team in all aspects of HR and influencing policy areas such as staff performance and Health & Safety.

• Sourcing agents for Asian market to promote college using a bespoke marketing mix.
