I am an Associate Professor and Head of Division for Physiotherapy, Sport Rehabilitation and Chiropractic.
I have been a physiotherapist for over 22 years, initially working in the NHS, then going on to specialise in Sports Medicine. I have worked extensively in clinical practice including, Rugby Union, Muay Thai Boxing, Triathlon and the Invictus Games.
I have been around serving military and veterans for most of my life I am currently studying for a PhD about the health and wellbeing of medically discharged wounded injured and sick military veterans.
My research interests are the health and wellbeing of medically discharged veterans from the UK Armed Forces, which is the topic of my PhD and anticipate publishing the findings.
I have worked as part of the medical support team for the Invictus Games since its inception in 2014 in London, and was Team UK Lead Physiotherapist in Sydney in 2018.
I am a member of the London Military Education Committee and GAA steering group for the Armed Forces Covenant.
I have worked as a physiotherapist extensively in both elite and community level sport and is passionate about inclusive access to sport and physical activity.
