I am a senior lecturer in the education division in the School of Law and Social Sciences and Level 4 lead. I teach on the Education Studies undergraduate programme and lead the Primary PGCE English module. I previously worked in the primary sector before moving into higher education. I have an MA in Children's Literature and am currently in the research phase of a professional doctorate in education.

I teach on the BA (Hons) Education and PGCE Primary courses.

I am a member of SRHE and BERA, as well as LSBU's Education for Social Justice research group. I am currently in the third year (research phase) of a professional doctorate in education. My action research project explores the possibilities for student co-design of the first year undergraduate curriculum to embed academic literacies (particularly reading) as a central element.
