I became part of London South Bank University (LSBU) in 2012, where I completed my studies in Architecture at both Part 1 and Part 2 levels. Currently, holding the position of senior lecturer in the Department of Architecture and serve as the Year Lead for the BA yr1 Architecture program.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience working in the UK and internationally. One notable experience was my involvement with WAA (We Architech Anonymous) in Beijing, China.

These experiences have allowed me to gain a diverse perspective and expertise across different building sectors, emphasising both international and local contexts.

Having had the privilege of serving as a member of the RIBA Validation panel since 2013, I have had the opportunity to engage in validation board visits to architecture schools at various universities, both within the UK and abroad. These visits have taken me to universities in countries such as Chile, Colombia, and the UK.

The act of traveling and immersing myself in different cultures and educational systems has been instrumental in shaping my research interests. It is through these experiences that I have come to appreciate the significance of understanding and exploring the pedagogical approaches to pre-university architectural education.

In particular, I am drawn to investigating the barriers that arise from economic disparities within different social classes that prevent one from reaching their full potential. By examining these barriers and seeking ways to address them, I hope to contribute to the creation of a more inclusive and equitable architectural education system.

By focusing on the pedagogical approach to pre-university architectural education the aim would be, to develop strategies and interventions that empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to overcome socio-economic barriers and thrive in their pursuit of architectural careers.
