I have been a HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer since 2007. I also have a postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine Imaging.
My interests lie within general and trauma radiography and also Nuclear Medicine. I am passionate about CPD and the role of diversity in enriching healthcare and student development.
From an early stage, I have been interested in the role of imaging with regards to nasogastric feeding tube position verification. The topic affects a range of patients and bears relevance to a range of clinical teams.
I am the current clinical link tutor for Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust (academic year 2021-2022).
I teach across a variety of undergraduate Diagnostic Radiography modules, to include anatomy, pathology and clinical applications of radiographic theory. Delivery includes lectures, seminars, problem based learning, and clinical skills workshops as well as remote learning methods.
The topic of my MSc explored patient safety and the role of imaging with regards to nasogastric feeding tube position verification in the hospital setting. I intend to explore this topic further in the future.
