I acquired a BEng in Civil Engineering from University of Ilorin Nigeria, and MSc in Construction Project Management from Loughborough University. I have also completed a PhD in the Built Environment focusing on knowledge-based cost modelling for offsite manufacturing methods at Birmingham City University.
I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy(FHEA) and I teach various Built Environment related modules in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management discipline at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Since I joined LSBU in 2020, I have undertaken key roles including being the Course Director for BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying apprenticeship courses.
My main research interests are in the aspects of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Semantic Digital Twin, Offsite Manufacturing and Cost Modelling. I have also recently been engaged in educational research involving how to strategically deliver Degree Apprenticeship courses in the UK higher education system.
Before joining LSBU, I worked in both full-time and visiting lecturer capacity in three other Universities in the UK. I have also practiced as a Civil Engineer in the industry before moving into academia. I am skilled and familiar with 3D, 4D and 5D BIM software and tools and competent in applying these in real-life situations.
I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research dissertation relating to the discipline I teach in the school of Built Environment and Architecture. I am open for PhD supervision as well and would encourage students to get in touch if interested in working with me.
