I am passionate about child development, public health and health promotion because of my background as a community nurse (SCPHN Health Visitor). My research focuses on healthy equity, cultural competence and the impact of adverse childhood experiences on the health and education of global majority students.

Delivery of The Healthy Child Programme for the under fives. Identifying when children and their families require access to additional services, using the Common Assessment Framework. Promoting and improving the health and wellbeing of children and their families. Working collaboratively with other agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. To initiate and contribute to strategies designed to promote and improve health and encourage individuals to take responsibility for their own health, thereby helping to reduce the effects of chronic disease.
