I joined LSBU in 2018 as an international student pursuing MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FT). I completed my master's in 2019 and was awarded the distinction and then joined the Centre of Bioengineering Research as a PhD student in February 2020. Prior to LSBU, I had completed my bachelor's in Electrical Telecommunication Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology. My PhD research focuses on UWB medical imaging and I am assisting the school of engineering in teaching, to the undergrads as a Module Tutor.

I am currently part of the South Bank Applied Bioengineering Research (SABER). My primary research focuses on UWB microwave imaging for lesion detection and working on the developed UWB platforms such as the microwave chamber and MammoWave apparatus used for testing and monitoring in different medical applications. Before starting my PhD, I had completed my master's project achieving the following milestones; realistic breast phantom designing and fabrication, performing measurements in an anechoic chamber, data processing and image reconstruction with detected inclusion.

My research focuses on developing the Huygens principle-based 3-Dimensional microwave imaging algorithm by making advancements in existing 2D imaging algorithms. Specifically, by fabricating a 3D structured phantom with the significant dielectric contrast in phantom properties and mimicking lesion, and then applying microwave imaging. 3D microwave imaging would be very beneficial for early detection along with the dimensions of the detected lesion detection.

I am working on the project to perform multiple cross-sectional analyses along the z-axis on the fabricated phantom and to develop the 3D imaging algorithm for 3D image reconstruction and 3D visualisation. regarding my ongoing research, I have 2 publications as conference papers in IEEE Xplore and 2 journals.
