I am a registered nurse and senior lecturer, combining experience across clinical practice, education, leadership, management and research. I have twenty years of clinical experience within secondary care mainly focused in the Emergency Department and acute medicine. I have a BSc in Healthcare and a Masters Degree in advanced Practice. I joined the School of Health and Social Care in 2020, teaching on the advanced practice MSc. I am module leader for Clinical Complexity in Advanced Practice (emergency care).
My particular research interest is focused around the quality assurance that is necessary for advanced practice to grow and thrive.
I currently review articles for the journal of International Emergency nursing.
At present, I am not involved in any research projects, however I have previously led and been involved in local quality improvement projects in a clinical setting.
