I joined LSBU in 2020, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Design Division. I originally studied BEng Production Engineering in Brazil and had the opportunity to work alongside Civil Engineers and Architects in both Construction and Industrial sectors acquiring a broad range of skills and experience in design, engineering, and project management.

Before joining LSBU, I have previously worked as a Fluid Dynamics Analyst/Engineer in Partnership with Technology Swiss S.A. performing CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) and Thermal Analysis for diverse products for the Mining Industry such as Fog Cannon and Wind Fence Breaker.

I am a proud LSBU alumni, having graduated with First Class Honours in BSc (Hons) Engineering Product Design where my final year project, Flux.on, a new London Bus system to improve passenger safety and travel experience, was shortlisted to the semi-finals in the Mayor of London Enterprise Smart Cities Awards. In 2017, my team and I won first place on the Great Competition by Design Museum and The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, for designing and developing OCCO, a school bag made from 100% Coconut waste, with intuitive features encouraging children from developing countries to engage more effectively at school. OCCO is not only combating the Education Crisis but also making use of the 9 billion coconut husks thrown away by Asia every year.

My research career began in 2020, when I have worked as a part- time R&D Engineer for a project funded by European Regional Development Fund at South Bank Innovation Centre. In this project, I was responsible for research and development of a potential absorbent material made of a natural free source fibre with minimal environmental impact. In addition, I was responsible for mechanical laboratory testing's (Tensile/Bending), material quality control and daily reports and log expenditure.
