I am a lecturer and course leader for MA Social Work in the School of Allied and Community Health. I have over 20 years practitioner and management experience working within various services for children and families around London, in both statutory and third sector organisations.

I am an early career researcher and have been chosen to be part of a mentoring scheme at London South bank University. I am also currently part of a team researching serious youth violence in Buckinghamshire and Lambeth.

Until 2022 I was still in frontline social work practice in London. My areas of specialty are child protection and looked after children.

I was also a school governor for a local authority secondary school for 16 years.
