I am a Building Services Engineering Lecturer. Prior to this role, I worked as a Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh undertaking interdisciplinary studies covering energy evaluation and multicriteria assessment of smart local energy systems, in addition to supporting energy engineering learning and teaching disciplines.

I am also a certified project management professional (PMP) with core experiences in sustainable energy systems having worked as an Energy Engineer for over 5 years retrofitting air conditioning and water heating systems for hospitals and schools as part of the Caribbean Energy Efficiency Initiative sponsored through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Undertaking research related to the development of a multicriteria assessment framework for Prospering from the Energy Revolution (PFER) demonstration projects and other local energy systems.

o Disseminating of research findings through internal reports, conference proceedings and journal publications

o Contributing to writing bids to win on-going research grants

o Help supervise PhD and Master project students

o Working collaboratively with other RA’s, industrial and academic partners

o Contributing to the engineering learning and teaching disciplines as appropriate such as preparing, marking, assessing, and coordinating developments of specialized

courses. Namely:

o Worked on government and multi-lateral funded projects such as UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) and CDB (Caribbean Development Bank).

o Worked with the Energy Efficiency Unit conducting energy management, assessment, and evaluation on hospitals and schools

o Developed and managed renewable energy/energy efficiency projects from the concept stage through to implementation until the closing of the project using PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) principles.

o Energy projects include power factor correction, retrofitting lights and air conditioning systems with more efficient ones, installing solar water heaters and solar

electricity systems etc

o Organized and conducted educational energy seminars, presentations and exhibitions.
