I have research and teaching experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. I have worked on several research projects, including the development of hardware platforms for power-systems and control, the optimization of energy management algorithms for microgrids, and investigation of novel storage solutions for microgrids using EV batteries.

My expertise spans across various areas such as power quality improvement, phasor measurement unit, microgrid modelling, energy management optimization algorithms, and battery condition monitoring.

Nevertheless, I have also served as a lecturer and teaching assistant, taught courses on power systems, electrical machines, and power distribution, etc. and facilitated laboratory experiments and tutorials.

I am working as a research fellow on a HAWKSBI project funded by Innovative UK smart grant in Bioengineering Research Group, School of Engineering, South Bank University, London, UK. This project involves developing and demonstrating a hardware platform combining functions such as Power Quality Monitor, Phasor Measurement Unit, and Sampled Value Merging Unit. I am also responsible for the open access provision of real-world datasets collected during platform trials to researchers and industry, providing a rich set of data for power systems and communication researchers. I completed my B.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from COMSATS University, Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus, Pakistan, in 2013. After my B.Sc., I earned an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from same university in 2015. My Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from Queen Mary University of London, in completed in 2021. I have worked as a research assistant in QMUL on two projects. I had also served Electrical Power and Control Systems Group, Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK as a research associate. Apart from my research experience, I also have extensive teaching assistant and lab demonstrator experience for Power Electronics and Electrical Machines.

My primary focus in research involves utilizing MATLAB's SimPowerSystem/Simscape toolbox for developing real-time controllers for grid-connected converters and microgrid applications, particularly for renewable energy systems and electric vehicles. I possess extensive experience in developing and testing control algorithms for renewable energy sources and battery energy storage systems, utilizing real-time simulators such as dSPACE and Speedgoat, as well as hardware equipment including power amplifiers and grid emulators.

Additionally, I have worked as a teaching associate at the university, where I served as an assistant examiner and exam script checker for the Joint Programme exams between China and QMUL.
