My research focus is youth violence and youth safety including looking into online violence and Drill music; understanding the changing nature of violence and the drivers for exploitative activities such as county lines and CCE.
I have conducted several reviews of local authority youth strategies, including assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of a local public health approach to tackling serious youth violence.
I have also conducted a longitudinal study of a London housing estate known for youth violence issues.
Currently, I am developing a project looking into the impact of delays in CAHMS and EHCP assessments on youth safety.
