I joined LSBU in 2022 where I work as a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy in the Institute of Health and Social Care. I completed my degree in Occupational Therapy at the National University of Quilmes, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, my country of birth. After working as a clinician for many years in both Argentina and the UK, I applied for a PhD in Studies Allied to Medicine and Health in dementia care, at the University of East Anglia, where I also worked as a research assistant for many years.

My research interests include the understanding of the many different extrinsic and intrinsic factors that affect an individual living with dementia and how the human environment, represented by family carers, can hinder or facilitate participation in daily tasks, with a particular focus on how much assistance the person needs when completing activities. As such, I have published different research papers as part of my PhD, and I also co-wrote a book chapter about assessment of functional abilities in older adults. I am now working on the validation of a new informant-based questionnaire to help in the identification of changes in the activity performance of people with cognitive impairment.
