I am a senior lecturer in strategy and the course director for the Business Foundation year in the division of ILSM. In addition, I am the academic link for The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).
Having 10 years of teaching experience which spans from level 3 to level 7 in broad business studies area and the experience in transnational education (TNE) in Asia Pacific countries, I am well versed in inclusive pedagogy as well as the process of quality assurance (QA) in higher education.
I hold a DBA and a PGCertHE. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Management & Business Educator and a member of the CMI and the IOEE.
I have a strong track record of teaching excellence. I was the winner of RUMSA (Reading University Malaysia Students' Association) Awards 2019/2020 in Teaching Excellence, and I was shortlisted for the Accessible Education Award for the 2022 Student Led Teaching Awards at the University of Greenwich and nominated for the Outstanding Teaching award at the Greenwich Business School Staff Awards 2022.
I am passionate and active in quality assurance roles such as external validation events and external examining.

My main roles are to lecture and lead seminars and support learning on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the areas of business across the range of courses offered by the Department of Systems Management and Strategy.
The modules include Small Business Development, Introduction to Business Processes, Discover Project Management, Project Planning and Management, Managing Strategy, E Business, Future Paths, and Personal & Professional Development.
In addition, I supervise, assess, and moderate Executive MBA dissertations. I also support in the design and development of new courses and modules in terms of subject specialism and pedagogical practice.
Moreover, I lead on personal and academic tutoring of undergraduates to deliver student care and employability support as a placement tutor. I am also working with professional services to contribute to the general academic administrative work of the department and the school such as internal moderation and open day.
I am a member of the Scholarship Excellence in Business Education (SEBE), a faculty-wide group that aims at bringing together the excellent practices and facilitate the sharing of practices across schools within the Greenwich Business School (GBS).
I was shortlisted for the Accessible Education Award for the 2022 Student Led Teaching Awards. The Student Led Teaching Awards acknowledge the excellent practice of lecturers and staff members within the University, those who demonstrate their commitment to delivering the best possible teaching and supervision to students, creating profound and positive educational experiences.
I lecture on Introduction to Business and Management module for the International Foundation Programme (IFP). For teaching and related responsibilities, I teach and support the foundation module(s) in the relevant subject areas by delivering lectures, seminars, group tutorials, marking & moderating assessment, provide personal tutorial support groups and involved in curriculum review and development.
For administrative tasks, I provide student reports regularly to monitor student's progress and act as a Personal Tutor to students. This role involves monitoring the progress of personal tutees and providing them with both academic and pastoral support.
On top of lecturing, I was the Academic Enhancement Activity Committee Lead. I plan and lead the Student Enhancement Activities for all for IFP students such as talks, workshops and confidence-building activities, field trips and social activities. As the Committee Lead, I manage other committee members’ roles and delegate tasks to them to ensure that the enhancement activities were well organised and add value to the IFP.
Moreover, I was the Foundation, Study and Language Institute (FSLI) Marketing Officer. Being person in charge of planning and delivering support for Provost and the main Student Recruitment team’s efforts to promote FSLI programmes (IFP, PSE, MPU), I liaise the UK IFP Marketing Officer and sharing best practices with how each campus can support the other. In addition, I was also leading and assisting in FSLI events such as Welcome Week, Away Day and social gathering, education fairs and school visits.
In addition, I was the Secretary of Staff Forum at the University of Reading Malaysia and the winner of RUMSA (Reading University Malaysia Students' Association) Awards 2019/2020 in Teaching Excellence.
I lecture on Cross Cultural Management, Global Marketing Ethics and Culture, Global Perspectives in Business and Leadership and Organisations for the Centre of University of Hertfordshire programmes and International Management for the Southern New Hampshire University programmes (US).
As a module leader and internal moderator for the above modules, my responsibilities include preparation and moderation of assessments and, coordinate with other campuses under INTI group and working closely with our partner including module leaders and external examiners from the University of Hertfordshire to ensure academic quality.
In addition, I was a member of few important initiatives under the Centre of University of Hertfordshire includes internationalisation and student recruitment. Under the initiative of internationalisation, I worked closely with our partner from the University of Hertfordshire for both inbound and outbound study tours, international field trips and international lecture streaming.
I scored an average of 95.74% on my teaching evaluation for the year of 2018. In addition, I was a committee member for two high profile event of the year 2018, namely Anti Bullying campaign 2018 and University of Hertfordshire - INTI Joint Symposium 2018.
I was lecturing HELP’s home-grown programmes in Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Tourism Management. I lecture on Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing for the Bachelor of Business programmes. I was the programme leader and module leader for Principles of Management for Hospitality & Tourism, Hospitality Small Business Operations, Hotel Operations Management and Leadership & Management in Hospitality Industry for the School of Hospitality and Tourism.
I was also a subject convenor and moderator of the Centre for International Progammes (CIP) in charge of Mid Valley International College, Nepal, Vietnam National University International School, Temasek International College, Myanmar and Institute Teknologi Harapan Bangsa and Terang Bangsa Entrepreneurship Academy, Indonesia. This gives me the opportunity to travel and teach in different countries. In addition, I was the academic coordinator for the Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) (Hons) programme at Mid Valley International College, Nepal.
As a programme leader of school of hospitality, my role is spilt across two areas: (1) monitor and coordinate academic matters (2) prepare audit documentation such as PMR-AR1 form and programme review reports. Moreover, I am also in charge of subject offering, internal and external moderation and curriculum review.
In addition, I was involved substantially in marketing activities for the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accounting. I support in roadshows and education fairs and I have conducted several leadership boot camps and motivational workshops in Brunei, Sarawak and Klang Velley schools in Malaysia.
I was the person in charge of internship programme of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, as well as a committee member and mentor of international exchange students, committee member of HELP alumni of business school and advisor of Chinese independent high school student association (CISA).
My lecturing background spans from hospitality management to strategic management and marketing management. My lecturing experience extend from internal certificate and diploma both in part-time and full-time programmes to various external university programmes such as the University of Sunderland (UK) and the Upper Iowa University (US).
Apart from lecturing, I was assisting the head of school of hospitality in coordinating academic matters for the University of Sunderland programme such as monitoring the attrition rate. In order to extend the boundaries of higher education, I advocated and implemented social media corridor as a platform for teaching and learning to engage with students to enhance their valuable learning experience.
Aside from this, I was also a member of Centre of Excellence for school of hospitality & tourism. I involved in event planning and advisory in the areas of business development. With my assistance and liaison, I have helped SEGi Kuala Lumpur obtained the corporate membership of Chef Association Malaysia (CAM).
I was a committee member of new module content development. I have developed several new subjects for diploma courses in tourism management. In addition, I was a committee member of SEGi Kuala Lumpur staff social club.
My work scope includes planning, organising, controlling of resources for the School of Culinary Arts in the capacity of purchasing, financial control, inventory and store control. My daily tasks involved in planning for the school daily operations and production to ensure the demand and supply of goods is balance and under the budget. In addition, I was also in charge of ordering uniform and handling special project such as outside catering and special events.
In the year of 2012, I embarked on teaching for the Foundation in Business programme.

I am responsible for the following postgraduate courses at the Teesside University International Business School and its TNE partner institutions - MA Human Resource Management (Senior Human Resources (HR) Professional); MA Human Resource Management (Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Professional Development); MA Human Resource Management (Senior Organisation Development (OD) Professional Development), with Prague City University.
I am examining all the HRM topics at level 7 including Dissertation.
