I joined LSBU in 2009, where I am currently Associate Professor of International HRM as well as Course Director, MSc International HRM in The School of Business. I have over 20 years industry experience in general and human resources management and have held key HR positions in several multinational companies such as Alcan Aluminium Company of Canada and Cincinnati Bell in Ohio State, USA.
I have diverse educational background from Nigeria, USA and Europe and senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy of the UK and hold Academic membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
My current research activities are in the areas of comparative international HRM, (rewards/compensation management) and employee engagement/participation/voice. My recent book publication - HRM in Africa: Understanding New Scenarios and Challenges in an Emerging Economy together with my book chapter publication - Fragmented Democracy and Employee Participation in Nigeria, challenges traditional views about African management practices and a welcome book for researchers and students who are desirous of understanding HR/Management in Africa. I am a member of the editorial board of some international journals including E-Journal of International and Comparative Labour Studies.
