I am a Mental Health Nurse and Senior Lecturer in Mental Health within the department of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities based at the Havering Campus of LSBU.
I have over 10 years experience of teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate level and am the Course Leader for the PG Dip / MSc Mental Health nursing.
Prior to September 2012 I was working full time as a Research Associate at University College London and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust on a study of Protected Engagement Time.
I graduated with a Bsc in Psychology (Hons) in 2002 and have worked in acute mental health services in a variety of roles since 2003; my most recent clinical role was a Charge Nurse on an acute assessment ward in the London Borough of Camden. I have completed a PG Cert and MSc in Dual Diagnosis in addition to PG Cert HE on starting her academic position.
I currently teach a variety of subject areas including anatomy and physiology, research and practice development, mental health interventions, substance use and clinical skills.
