I joined the London South Bank University School of Computing in 2000 as a research assistant developing web systems and tools for the detection and visualisation of plagiarism. I have taught on and run a variety of software development units involving both object-oriented development with Java and web development. Having completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education I became a full time lecturer in Computing in 2007.
I have collaborated on research related to plagiarism and its detection, contributing to two papers in this area and presenting some research at an HEA Event on Managing Academic Misconduct & Preventing Plagiarism in February 2010. I was awarded a PhD in 2016 for research into the impact on fault prediction of variants of the Coupling Between Objects metric. A paper derived from this research was published in 2019.
I have acted as lead academic for a knowledge transfer partnership (KTP) project developing a novel integrated project management environment to facilitate scheduling, production, resource allocation and financial planning for the production of visual effects, animation and motion graphics assets.
