I am the Lead for Pre-registration Health and Social Care courses at LSBU Croydon. My special interest is the learning disabilities nursing workforce. I am also interested in community engagement in higher education, especially with marginalised groups. I support the delivery of key messages about the health of people with intellectual disabilities across the health and social care curriculum.

I have been a Registered Learning Disability Nurse since 1997. I am currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care. I have an MSc in Health Research and have a recorded Teacher qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

I supported the Assistant Professors for Practice Learning and for Skills and Simulation in planning the strategic direction of these areas. I delivered training to practice partners and to internal staff. I supported staff within the School with their delivery of clinical skills and mandatory training.

Prior to that role, I was a Senior Lecturer in Learning Disabilities Nursing, and I was the course director for the BSc Learning Disabilities Nursing.
