I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering in the Division of Chemical and Energy Engineering (CEE) and a member of the Explosion and Fire Research Group (EFRG) within CEE. My research area is flammable gas safety, especially hydrogen in the nuclear industry, and have worked on a large number of industrially funded research projects. I have over 20 publications, including several in internationally respected journals such as the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.

My main research interests are hydrogen safety and reaction calorimetry, especially pertaining to the nuclear industry. I have worked on a large number of industrially sponsored research projects for clients including National Nuclear Laboratories, Sellafield Ltd, and the Health and Safety Executive (UK).
