I am a Senior Lecture in the Business School. I joined LSBU in 2017 as an Associate and became a permanent member of staff (0.5) in 2022. I previously worked as a Visiting Lecturer at several private London Universities (BPP and HULT) and prior to that was a Brand Marketing Director of a City of London based PLC for 10 years and a Unilever Graduate trainee. I teach Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and remain self-employed as a Business Adviser, advising SME’s (Enterprise Steps) and global Brands (Starbucks, McDonalds, Mini Cooper) on Marketing and business growth.
I have experience of business start-up; as a Franchisor (ActivKids) and business Floatation (LA Leisure PLC). I have negotiated Affinity partnerships (Nike, QVC Shopping channel) and co-branded Product ranges (BUPA and John Lewis). I am an External Examiner for London Metropolitan (2018).
I am passionate about infusing practical learning into academic study and as a practitioner I bring topical and current case studies into my work as a Lecturer. My main research interest lies in the fusing of business practice with academic studies. I bring a practical element to my work with students, ensuring that they feel equipped to solve commercial problems; hence, bridging the gap between academia and career readiness. I am the academic lead of the Business Solution Centre (BSC) on the Croydon Campus and Module Leader on both UG and PG Digital Marketing Modules.
