I joined LSBU in 2019 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Acting and Performance course, where I am now a full-time lecturer in Acting. I previously trained on the BA (Hons) Drama and Performance course at LSBU, followed by a Masters in Acting at the prestigious Drama Centre London. I spent two months training in Moscow at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute, under the world-renowned Movement Director, Andrei Droznin.

My artistic research focuses on combining physical training, mythology, and Zen Buddhist philosophy in a practical way to enhance University based performing arts teaching. In the wake of technological addictions and rapid information consumption, I am particularly interested in the use of breath-work and meditation to help students be fully present in the rehearsal room and performance.

Alongside teaching at LSBU I am an actor and theatre maker. My theatre company, The Sanigar Brothers, has recently developed a brand-new show at the Au Brana Cultural Centre in southern France. Our current work explores the relationship between landscape and folklore, investigating the potential in being reclaimed by a particular place through the ancient practices of story, song and dance.
