I joined LSBU in 2019 and am the course director for the Apprentice Nursing Associates in the Institute of Health & Social Care School. I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in adult nursing from the University of Greenwich, a Masters Degree in Medical Ethics and Law from Keele University and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Greenwich.

My main research interests are academic misconduct in post-registration nursing concerning professionalism. There has been very little research carried out in this area.

My Doctoral Thesis 'An Explanation of Plagiarism: The Perceptions of Senior Nurses in the Context of Professionalism & Patient Care found some very interesting thoughts about academic misconduct from nurses in senior positions including their lack of knowledge of what academic misconduct was and the consequences of it.

I am writing a study skills book on 'How to reference properly and avoid plagiarism.' I am also writing a chapter on drugs in the emergency department and intensive care unit.
