I am a chartered physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I joined LSBU in 2020 as a Lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation for the Institute of Health and Social Care. I teach on the BSc (Hons) and Integrated Masters Sport Rehabilitation programmes and contribute to teaching on the pre-registration Physiotherapy and Chiropractic degree programmes.
Alongside my role at LSBU, I continue to work in clinical practice at Trinity Laban Health specialising in performing arts physiotherapy. I have previously worked in the NHS, private practice, professional football clubs and with elite athletes and performing artists.
Modules I lead include Advanced Practice and Clinical Decision Making, Psychological Principles of Rehabilitation and Human Performance, Clinical Rehabilitation and Health Promotion and Upper Limb and Spinal Rehabilitation.
I am interested in injury prevention and rehabilitation approaches in elite sport and performing arts because I am passionate about performance optimisation in these areas. I believe in a holistic approach to the care of patients, athletes, and performers; this is reflected in my interest in health and performance psychology and how these principles influence injury and rehabilitation.
