I joined LSBU in April 2022, where I am lecturer at the School of Health and Social Care, Department of Nursing and Midwifery/Division of Adult Nursing.

I have completed a PGDip in Oncology Nursing in 2009 and I am currently studying to complete my Master in Science - Clinical Skin Integrity and Wound management.

My clinical background is in intensive care, for 12 years and for the last 4 years I have been specializing in tissue viability care.

I am working part time at the university, so I am still clinical as the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse at my current workplace.

I am involved in the following activities:

- SIPS (surgical interventions to treat severe pressure ulcers)

- National Wound Care Strategy Programme - stakeholder on the surgical wounds branch

- European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel - stakeholder in relation to new European guidelines, to be launched 2024.
