I joined LSBU as a lecturer in Adult Nursing in 2022. I am a registered nurse and work part time clinically as an ED Sister. I originally studied Animal Sciences, gaining a BSc in 2013 from the University of Nottingham. From there I became a carer and went on to complete my MSc in Graduate Entry Nursing at the University of Nottingham.
I worked in Nottingham for several years as a registered nurse before moving to London in 2019. I have spent most of my career in Emergency Nursing, working within major trauma centres. During the winter of 2020 I was redeployed to the Intensive Care Unit for 6 months. Following this, I made the decision to move into an educational role. I worked a split role between the emergency department and postgraduate education within Barts Health for a further 6 months before moving into undergraduate education within LSBU.
