I joined LSBU in 2022 as a Ph.D. researcher at the Mechanical Intelligence Lab under Dr Hamed Rajabi. I finished my masters in Molecular Biology and Evolution at the University of Kiel, Germany. I also did my Bsc in Biotechnology and anthropology at BRAC University, Bangladesh.

My research centres around biomimetics and evolution, studying the functional morphology and behaviour of animal weapons and locomotion, mainly stag beetle and their mandibles.

I am trying to understand the relationship between the stag beetle mandible's design and its mechanical activities, using a multi-disciplinary approach, incorporating evolution, behavioural study, biology, and mechanical engineering. What are the design elements that make different stag beetle fight differently? Is it the number of teeth, the size of the mandible or is it the curve between the teeth? They have perfected their designs over hundreds of millions of years of evolution and utilizing the knowledge I gain here I hope to produce bio-inspired grippers for use in robotics, industry, and surgical instruments.

Other than this, I am also working on modelling animal claws, based on the dinosaur on Geometric Parameters of the dinosaur Therizinosaurus cheloniformes, and making a lightweight insect flight-inspired drone.

I have a broad interest in Biomimetics, Anthropology, Entomology, Space, Robotics, Behavioural biology, Pen & paper, Virtual reality, Warhammer, RPG, and Dinosaurs
