I am a senior lecturer in the Division of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a member of the Cognitive Systems Research Centre, School of Engineering. I am also an instructor of the LSBU Cisco Academy. I spent 7 years as an Assistant and Associate professor at the Beijing Institute of Technologies after receiving my PhD from Beihang University. I joined LSBU in 1999.

My main research interests include robotics NDT, industrial system control, robot operating systems, and computer networks. I have participated in several European-funded robotic NDT projects concerning inspections of nuclear power stations, oil tanks, and aeroplanes. Additionally, I have worked on two innovative UK KTP projects, focusing on the design of an industrial thermal printer control system and the development of a high-speed industrial thermal printer.

I am a CLAWAR International Scientific Committee member.
