I am a senior lecturer in the Division of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a member of the Cognitive Systems Research Centre, School of Engineering. I am also an instructor of the LSBU Cisco Academy. I spent 7 years as an Assistant and Associate professor at the Beijing Institute of Technologies after receiving my PhD from Beihang University. I joined LSBU in 1999.

My main research interests include robotics NDT, industrial system control, robot operating systems, and computer networks. I have participated in the following European-funded robotic NDT projects in LSBU:

•Brite-Euram Project (BE96-3038): Developed a wall and ceiling climbing robotic vehicle with a dexterous manipulator arm for remote inspection in hazardous environments.

•EC Research Project (RoboTank) (GRD1-1999-1-572): Designed an in-service inspection robot for tanks containing hazardous liquids.

•EU Project (CRAF-1999-70040): Developed a robotic system for inspecting aircraft wings and fuselage.

•H2020 FTI TankRob Project: Focused on in-service intrusive NDT of petrochemical storage tank floors and walls.

Additionally, I have also worked on two innovative UK KTP projects, focusing on the design of an industrial thermal printer control system and the development of a high-speed industrial thermal printer.

I am a CLAWAR International Scientific Committee member.
