I joined LSBU in 2006 as a Lecturer in Law and I am currently an Associate Professor of Law in the Division of Law. I am the Course Director of the LLM Crime and Litigation and the LLM Human Rights and Development and I teach a number of modules on the LLM programmes. Following the completion of my LLB in Athens, Greece I completed my LLM (University of Westminster), followed by an MPhil in Criminology at the Institute of Criminology in Cambridge and a PhD in Law at the University of Bristol.

My research is concerned with the contemporary international and national counter-terrorism legal measures and the relationship between international terrorism and other forms of criminal activities such as transnational organised crime. In essence, I define myself as an international legal scholar and an international lawyer with a strong interest in the international criminalization of terrorism. My co-edited book entitled ‘Criminological Approaches to International Criminal Law’ was published by Cambridge University Press in 2014.I am an Expert assessor for major international journals such as the International Legal Research Journal and Political Studies Review.
