I am a Senior Lecturer and Solicitor. I teach contract law on the CPE. I also teach business law, and international commercial arbitration.

Prior to joining LSBU, I was a partner at Hogan Lovells, and was the first of my intake to make partner. I spent my time in London and Moscow, and was head of the firm’s Russian capital markets, restructuring and pro bono practices. I am a fluent Russian and French speaker and spent more than 8 years living and working in Russia.

I also advise start-ups in the tech industry on all aspects of their work.

I am interested in international law and its overlap with international relations, particularly lawfare!

I am also interested in the dynamics that produce the most efficient results in organisations. My interest is particularly focused on finding the ideal composition in management and directors’ boards.

I am also focused on the enforcement of awards from international arbitration throughout the world, and, in particular, in the emerging markets for the former Soviet Union. I am an expert on business in the former Soviet Union with a particular focus on Russia and Ukraine dating back to the early 1990s.

I am the author of ReviseSQE Contract Law, which is specifically aimed at those preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.
