I am a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Chemical and Energy Engineering in the School of Engineering. I am also a link tutor for the British University in Egypt.

I have significant experience in teaching and research in UK high education. Following gaining my Ph.D. at the University of Surrey, I worked on a few EPSRC and industrially funded research projects in a number of universities such as Surrey, Brunel, and Nottingham. I joined LSBU in 2011.

I have a wide interest in fundamental research on mass and heat transfer in multiphase systems, spanning from mass transfer in jet loop reactors, liquid macro- and micro-mixing in stirred tanks, and boiling heat transfer enhancement. My current research focuses on flow assurance in pipelines, wastewater treatment, and green process development. I have established close collaborations with industrial and academic partners from the UK, China, Nigeria, and Egypt

I have supervised dozens of MSc and PhD students and published over 60 papers in high-impact journals and prestigious conferences. I co-authored the book “Hydrodynamics of Gas-Liquid Reactors - Normal Operation and Upset Conditions”, ISBN-13: 978-0-470- 74771-1, 344 Pages, John Wiley & Sons, July 2011.
