I joined LSBU in 2011 and I'm an Associate Professor in the School of Applied Sciences. Previously I worked as a researcher in Sport Psychology at Royal Holloway University of London, the German Sport University, and the VU University Amsterdam where I completed my PhD.
I study how the environment invites and guides certain behaviours and actions. This applies to various contexts, and I'm particularly interested in its application to human performance and physical activity for health.
Current projects include:
- Visual perception in sports (basketball, soft-pitch baseball)
- Urban barriers to physical activity in women
- Positive sports coaching
- Cross-cultural training
- Research Ethics and Integrity
I'm the General Secretary for the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC) and a member of the British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) Public Advisory Board.
