I am an Associate Professor in Structural Design, Division of Civil and Building Services Engineering, School of Built Environment and Architecture. I am the Course Director for BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering (TAC Design Apprenticeship). He led the industry leading programme attracting high calibre apprentices in the industry. I am qualified as a Chartered Structural Engineer with a wealth of industrial experience in engineering consultancies in London.
I am the past chair of Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), North Thames Regional Group, served as Diversity and Inclusion Champion in the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
My research interest is on latest advancement / technology in the construction industry. Research area includes:
• VR/AR technology in construction
• Research collaboration with leading industrial partner
• Sustainability in buildings
• Educational research on pedagogy in Engineering
I am passionate in promoting engineering in the Higher Education. I teach the following modules on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, which includes the following modules:
