I am a Senior Lecturer in Chiropractic within the Division of Chiropractic, Sport Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. I am currently the course director and professional lead for the Integrated Masters of Chiropractic Course.
Prior to joining LSBU I worked in clinical leadership roles including the design and implementation of an advanced practitioner telephonic triage service. Following this, I led a multidisciplinary physical therapy team in a hospital setting.
My clinical and research interests include clinical reasoning and safety in the management of spinal pain. In particular, I am interested in the role patients' attitudes and beliefs play in positive and negative outcomes associated with the treatment of spinal pain.
I am a part-time PhD student at LSBU investigating ‘the attitudes and beliefs towards manual therapy held by patients experiencing low back pain’.
I am chair of the Chiropractic Patient Incident Reporting and Learning System (CPiRLS) development group at the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC).
