I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the National Bakery School/ School of Applied Science.
I joined LSBU in 2020 as a Food Technologist working with LAFIC - London Agri Food Innovation Clinic an Enterprise arm of the University having previously worked at Guys and St Thomas' NHS Foundation.
I have about 21 years multi-category experience of the food manufacturing, catering and hospitality industry; with extensive knowledge & experience in roles spanning from new process & product development, quality assurance, technical, food safety & compliance. I am also a seasoned trainer.
I have in-depth knowledge in the implementation of Food safety and quality management systems including BRC, SALSA, STS, and HACCP within small and large scale organizations.
My experience encompass bakery goods & patisserie, chilled high risk foods and ready to eat meals, milk production & packaging, fermented and non alcoholic drinks alongside tea and beverages. I have worked with the large manufacturers, major retailers, the NHS, University students and also with SMEs to see their idea generation from concept and through innovation developed to a reality household brand/ name while incorporating food safety and complying with legal requirements.
