I am an Associate Professor of Energy Engineering and Materials Devices in the School of Engineering. Before joining LSBU in 2019, I worked at the Organic Semiconductor Centre, University of St Andrews, UK. I received my MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and PhD in Photonics from the Advanced Technology Institute, University of Surrey, UK.

I am a member of EPSRC Peer Review College, topic editor of “Coatings”, Associate Editor of “Solar Energy” within “Frontier in Energy Research” and the winner of "Emerging Investigator" (Journal of Material Chemistry A, 2020).

My current research focuses on optoelectronic applications of semiconductors, including the development of solar cells, LEDs, and Sensors and their application in Agritech, Optical Data Communications and Medicine. I work closely with the UK industries and have several joint collaborative projects with them. Two collaborative projects, "Development of highly efficient LEDs" and "Hydrogen production using 2D materials", working with Edinburgh Instruments Ltd, St Andrews and Nano2D (LSBU). A collaborative project, "Development of downshifting nanocrystals for increased crop yields", with Lambda Energy Ltd and Nano2D (LSBU). A collaborative project "Wearable Solar Cells", working with Loughborough and Surrey.

Current research activities in my group are:

- Photophysics of semiconductor Materials
