My journey began as a biomedical scientist before my curiosity took me to wanting to learn about the patient’s dropping the samples being analysed. I then retrained as a nurse, and I have enjoyed my role from then. Post BSc degree, I took on an MSC in Adult nurse, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Specialist Community Practice along with prescribing, and then completed my fellowship degree for the HEA at another HEI. My role has continued to eveolve over the years, with my latest role in general practice and the HEI. I am passionate about research, physiology, and anatomy.

As a current reviewer for the Journal of Prescribing Practice, my research focus is expanding in the aspect of chronic conditions. This particular interest in chronic illnesses has motivated my decision to become a part of the Long-Term and Aging Research Group at the university. In alignment with my interest in chronic health conditions, I am actively involved in research of asthma care and the promotion of global understanding of asthma. I share my research findings through participation in conferences and delivering presentations. Given my research pursuits and the importance of knowledge dissemination and impact, I am dedicated to guiding research students in their dissertations. This commitment has resulted in successful supervision of two Master's degree candidates and one Bachelor's degree candidate. A dissertation from one of the supervised students has undergone my further review and has been submitted for publication. Furthermore, I collaborate with colleagues who share similar interests in asthma across the United Kingdom, facilitating the exchange of current research insights on asthma. Recently, I have created a prescribing guide for asthma aimed at both patients and clinicians within the Mid-Essex Integrated Care System to promote accurate and systematic prescribing practices in asthma management. Beyond my local engagements, I serve as an examiner for the non-medical prescribing module at Canterbury Christ Church University. Alongside my ongoing research interests, I contribute as a member of the Health Research Authority Ethical Committee and serve as a National Physician Associate examiner.
