I joined LSBU in 2020 as a Lecturer in Law in the School of Law and Social Sciences after completing my PhD at Queen Mary University of London. Prior to this, I taught at Kent law School, QMUL and UCU in Uganda. I hold an LLB degree from the University of Derby and an LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

My research is concerned with issues such as law and aesthetics, law and poetics, Black feminist/queer approaches to law as well as abolitionary critiques of law and the ethics of care. This is done mainly through the frameworks of critical legal theory with a particular attention to deconstruction, post-modernism and Black studies. I have also published work that touches on the regulation of algorithms, AI and new digital technologies. I am open to PhD supervision in any of these areas.

I am a published poet of 'Kalimba' and 'Mash-River-Raft-Feather' both published by Guillemot press. I am in the process of writing a book on Law, Technology, and Incalculability.

I use they/them pronouns.
