I am a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science. I joined LSBU in November 2021 from Imperial College London.

I received my PhD in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology in 2003 at the OP jointly with I.C.G.E.B. Trieste, Italy, Before that I did a BSc and Masters in Biochemistry in the 'Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) Santiago, Chile, my country of origin.

Currently I'm a member of several professional bodies including:

The British Society for Haematology (BSH), European Hematology Association (EHA), European Association of Cancer Research (EACR-EACR26587) and American Society of Cancer Research (AACR Member ID: 1074104)

My main research focus is in regulatory genomics in Multiple Myeloma. I'm passionate about development and application of genetic and epigenetic tools to study the molecular mechanisms that underpin normal and malignant differentiation and development, in particular in haematological malignancies.
