Having studied at the postgraduate level at LSBU, I joined the academic team in 2022 with 20+ years of corporate experience.
I am a Senior Lecturer in the Business School and have taught Brand Management, Data for Decision Making and Responsible Business (Ethics).
I completed my PG Cert and PG Diploma in Management in London from 1997-1999. Following a career break with my family, I completed my MBA at LSBU in 2018 to update my qualifications and restart my career.
My interests are in graduate outcomes and connecting the academic and corporate worlds to ensure opportunities are maximised for all.
I have worked in the service industry with a focus on Marketing Execution supporting global brands to communicate with their customers since 1994. In my most recent position as Business Director, I reported directly to the CEO and sat on the Senior Leadership Team. My responsibilities included two country operations (France and Italy), £120m revenue, 160 people and 16 clients from FMCG, financial services, retail and luxury sectors.
Within my corporate work, my focus was on delivering sustainable marketing execution - both in terms of global impact and financial delivery. An example would be to review current practices and reduce carbon by manufacturing as close to the final destination with reduced and more sustainable materials including the removal/substitution/reduction of damaging materials. Also, capturing data relating to enhanced services to aid the fulfilment of clients' global sustainability goals.
I am also involved in our Anthea Swan ED&I accreditation.
