I joined LSBU's School of the Built Environment and Architecture in 2021 as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering having previously worked at the University of Greenwich. I was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2023. I teach Engineering Surveying and Structures & Construction Technology A.

I am passionate about sustainable materials for road pavements and sustainable drainage systems because of my previous industry and research experience that are in these areas. My research focuses on recycling waste materials to make new materials for road pavement systems and application of sustainable drainage systems for managing quantity and quality of runoff.

Recent projects include the Institution of Structural Engineers funded project on “Improving the Durability and Sustainability of Reinforced Concrete using Carbonated aggregates and BFRP reinforcement” and a consultancy for Roadfill Limited.

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer recognised by the Engineering Council and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, United Kingdom.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
