Academic staff

I am an Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy in the Department of Allied Health and Community Care in the Institue of Health and Social Care, since 2002. I completed an MSc in Clinical Neurosciences with distinction in 2008. I also take opportunities to teach and work with colleagues collaboratively across the Institute of Health and Social Care. I have contributed to the academic community through webinars, conference presentations, and academic publications.

I am currently a PhD Researcher. The title of my PhD research is "Evaluating service level outcomes from implementing Seddon’s Vanguard Method, a service improvement framework, in an occupational therapy service in England: A single case study."

I am one of the original cofounders of BAMEOTUK, a pressure group of BME heritages occupational therapy students, staff, and educators, campaigning for antiracist change in the occupational therapy profession and professional body.

My interests are in antiracism, equity, justice, and decolonising in relation to curricula and HEI transformation. I have developed an evidence-informed decolonising the curricula checklist wheel - a reflection tool, that has been adopted into the academic curriculum framework of the university. I have presented the wheel at several conferences.
